El Vendrell

El Vendrell is the capital of Baix Penedès. It has art museums like the "Museu Déu". On Friday mornings a street market is held in the town scepter.

It can be reached by car in 10 minutes or by bus from the Calafell station. In Vendrell we can find the nuclei of Comarruga and Sant Salvador by the sea.

In El Vendrell there are two Kartings located on the N-340 road towards Tarragona between El Vendrell and Comarruga. In Karting you can experience the speed behind the wheel of Karts for adults and children. If they do not have a car they will need a taxi to get to the Karting.

Comarruga has a marina right next to a stream and its lake from which hot springs are born. You can go snorkelling in the Masía Blanca marine reserve and it is located at the end of the beach. It can be reached by train from Calafell in 5 minutes, descending at Sant Vicenç de Calders station.

In Sant Salvador the house museum of Pau Casals and the auditorium stand out. Pau Casals is a renowned cellist and composer of the United Nations anthem. The “Pau Casals” auditorium programs classical music concerts of great prestige. It also has a small Romanesque hermitage. There is a tourist train service from Calafell to Sant Salvador. Between the sea and the youth hostel there is a zip line area between pine trees that will be the fun of the most intrepid.
